    Need a quick response!

Hey guys, sorry for the demanding title thread (asks for forgiveness)

I just got a text from my mechanic who is in the middle of the swap and he wants me to confirm what clutch setup I am using before he gets at it, so he is waiting on me...

I am swapping in an 1995 s50 and transmission into a former auto e30

I was assuming i could use the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder from the m3? I bought an e30 manual pedal box as well.

    ANy advice?help?

I know the rule is to use the slave from the swapped transmission, but what about the master? is the e36 m3 master ok? will it all connect up properly with the e30 stuff?

No use the e30 clutch master. Match the clutch kit to the flywheel being used.

I don't think I have an e30 clutch master, as the e30 was an auto.

I was planning on using the flywheel from the e36 transmission.

That's fine. Use an e36 m3 clutch kit then. You'll have to order an e30 clutch master cylinder. I can help you with that. Shoot me an email, my address is listed in my signature.

So the e36 CMC won't work?

from what ive been told, the master has to be for an e30. i have a couple extras here if you want to buy a used one.

                  Replied to your email andrew.

E36 clutch master doesnt really bolt in to the E30 pedal box.

I'm in Halifax and can send one your way first of the week, possibly Friday if you really want a used one. Just pay for shipping and my time to pull it from my parts car.
