I bought a Porsche 944 booster but I've been reading you still need motor mount spacers and with these damn revshift mounts i would rather not.Leave a comment:

I find that my booster looks fantastic in the bay. Everything clears beautiful.Leave a comment:

Have you even tried one?
THEY SUCK.
A+ tread carrieyon
I tried to go this route initially but my the seller lost the part.
Still considering though since the remote res is kinda bulky and the spacer does push the master out really close to the TB.Leave a comment:

The lines are same size yah. You just need the fare fittings for the MC as the threads are bigger than standard brake fittings. Take those fittings, cut off the e30 fittings and re flare. Done.
The reservoir is from a VW MK3 no ABSLeave a comment:

Ok sounds good. I only need the flared nuts bolt thing correct? The lines are the same size? My plan is to just cut the flare in the line off of the stock fittings then put the audi ones on and reflare. Also did you figure out what the reservoir is from?Leave a comment:

If your buddy has an audi part car, just take the fittings that are on the MC already. You need those. Then once, just redo the two lines that go from the MC to the ABS, donezoLeave a comment:

The main thing will be getting the audi lines to work and figure out the ABS situation.Leave a comment:

Thank you sir^ i know we have been talking but this can be a big deal for swappers if we thoroughly plan and test everything. My bud has a a4 parts car that I am going to look at/tear apart on mondy.Leave a comment:

All you need to do is rethread the stock E30 clevis as the push rod is large in diameter. You need to get bigger brake line fittings as the Audi MC has bigger ports than standard brake fittings. Everything is basically plug and plug after thatLeave a comment:

audi a4 1.8t booster/mc *update it's installed!*
Ive been researching way to much about boosters. A felllow member here is running the 1.8t audi booster and mc with his swap. Everything else works great and fits using a different reservoir. Hopefully this will be another booster. Setup that actually fits.
Thanks guys

Audi A4 B5 1.8t Brake booster and reservoir, Got this badboy damn near brand new for $75 bones. Also not pictured but included was a reservoir from a mk3 non abs, which is smaller then the stock Audi one.

How it mounts up

Thats the stock gasket layed over the 2 diagonals for the Audi. Same Size bolt holes, only uses two in a diagonal pattern.

Here is where I got confused. Stock bmw is 3/16 inch brake line with metric 10 bubble flare nuts. The Audi uses 1/4 inch brake line with metric 12 bubble flare nuts.
Audi on top, Bmw on bottom

And lastly the solution to the brake line dilemma. This is an Adapter, M10 3/16 - m12 1/4 bubble flare. It took me awhile to track this one down. It is from O' Reillys which I had to special order, Part number is 267000. Autozone makes a similiar one but it is wrong do not buy it.

Hopefully the stock line can be extended enough to work. I will be test fitting by the weekend!
Update!

Stock booster rod is 4 1/8" so a little shortening is in order.

Stock e30 clevis needs to be drilled out and re tapped to M12x1.5

Here it is installed. The stock lines reach just fine and bending was really easy. I screwed the line into the M/C and then just bent it into position.

That is a mk3 non abs reservoir. I believe anything in the vw/audi family will work.Tags: None
