Guy gives solid advice and the the dipshits arrive.
Some people don't want their car to drive like they paid $700 for it, and some are too stupid to figure out why it's so sucky to drive and shakes violently...
Obviously none of you have a woman.

That is good information. I was torn between 100 on revshit or 200 for AKG. Glad I went AKG
Cool 'harddrive' car bro
and tell me, how often do you inspect your motor mounts? I guess you are special and deserve a ribbon.
real women dig poly lol
Actually checked them this week. Where's my ribbon?
IMO many people fail to recognize that their aftermarket headers are much closer to the mount than they should be. I rarely see anyone post pics with a shield on the mounts and this will of course be the #1 reason for premature failure and (although its hard to tell from photos), the ones on the last page seem to show heat stress. Some cars even have a cooling duct to the header side mount and this would be something to consider on a track car, no matter what mount you have. Just try putting your hand on the mount after a session.
Oh.. Yeah 30.00 motor mounts would be silly. I paid 100.00 for revshifts and should have spent more and gotten the AKG's in hindsight, but at the time I didnt know only the AKG used a specific design JUST for these swaps.. I was under the impression that Revshift was also made for the swap, but they are just copies of e28 mounts..

I didnt say it DRIVES like a 700.00 car. It drives way better than that.. It was an automatic bottlecap clad blown head gasket POS when it was a 700.00 car.

these are cheap ass cars.. most of us arent millionaires and were not building v10 m3's.. so technically yes most of us are cheap asses
.
My car was 700 dollars and I think I've got less than 5 grand total put into the stupid thing
Yes I understand most of cannot afford to drive Ferrari's but the fact is if you drop 2000+ on a motor, why use 30 dollar motor mounts? Its not my car so I do not really care what you run I am just sharing my experiences
They are from 2 different cars (no shims on the set i pulled off my swap). Just because it hasn't happen to you doesn't make it impossible. Its unbelievable what cheap asses some of you guys are.

^as ive said before i believe something else is going on there as you managed to break the base of the mount in half. I run E28 mounts in everything *unshimmed* and have never had a failure.

But if it works for your customers and they have not come back with failures more power to ya, but this is my personal DD and drive it very hard so using motor mounts that fit correctly is ideal for me.
