Don;t laugh at me for asking but, CEL question

About a week ago I had an intermittent CEL blink while accelerating, was knock sensor 2 on the stomp test, it blinked on and retarded ignition for a second and that was it, right around 2,500 rpm in a low gear under fairly hard throttle.

Does that mean the knock sensor 2 is bad, or is that saying that knock sensor 2 detected knock, it retarded ignition, and eveything is ok with the sensor?

With the age of S50's and the early sensors being prone to cracking I would replace the knocks, crank and cam for good measure, they all are wearing out at this point and the insulation inside the multi plugs have likely degraded and flaked away and can touch causing a host of issues. The knock sensors stop reading accurate when they integrity is compromised with a few cracks.

Good deal, if it happens again I'll replace them, any way to do this without removing the intake manifold or should I just suck it up and pull it?
