    s50 swap driveshaft

    i have an early 1983 318i and a entire 1994 euro m3 e36
i think my gearbox is a 5spd manual z320, but i don't know the correct driveshaft for the swap..
i want to use e28 engine mounts and e21 tranny mounts.
    i've read a lot of thinks..324td..m3 e30..
    what is the correct?
    thanks!

Well, as i see you're in spain so driveshafts are different there than they are here. most likely the driveshaft from the e36 m3 has the 6 bolt flange on it at the differential so that won't work. if it's 4 bolt than you can use that one. your best bet probably is to get the 24v swap flex disc (giubo) from revshift. that will allow you to use your original e30 manual drive shaft.

Not sure about the earlier E30 but on my car (1990) I use a driveshaft from an E36 328i manual trans and install it backward. The guibo is E30 M3 guibo.

        ok with that.
        some measures of the driveshafts.

        m3 e36 s50 euro with z320 gearbox 1994 1469mm
        325 e36 m50 euro 1512mm
        1983 320i e30 1525mm
        1988 320i e30 1526mm
        1988 324td e30 1483mm
        1996 328 e36 1492mm

the difference between s50 and m50 driveshaft in spain is 43mm
