    Clutch Masters FX100 S52 G260

Anyone running a clutch masters? I am going to be using the stock m20 flywheel already lightened, with the Getrag G260. I have been looking at the Clutch Masters as they seem to hold the power and the pressure plate is stronger then stock. S52 is all stock.

We are a premier manufacturer of high quality performance clutches since 1978. We have taken these years of experience and a clean sheet of paper to re-engineer our line of performance clutches to solve the clamping force vs. pedal pressure equation. The proof of this success is available as a complete line of clutch systems for high performance street and racing use. It is the first major breakthrough in performance clutches in over four decades.

    Opinions?

    Thanks guys,

I was looking at this clutch set up as well. While I was searching around it seems like the BMW guys haven't had much luck with Clutchmasters. I've also found the following on other set ups:

Clutchnet: If you get one that works you're set, if not, it probably wont disengage and then good luck getting a replacement/fix in a timely manner.
Southbend: Awesome setups and good success for the guys on Bimmerfourms FI, but nothing for the M20 spec that I could find.
UCC Performance organic: Awesome setup, but a bit pricey.

This is just what I've seen in my research so it may not be the case.

And i'll throw this in there before LJ851 chimes in lol:

Why not modify the stock bmw clutch. If the motor is stay stock, the clutch will last a good long time.

i got the fx100 with my s52 lightened stock flywheel with g260

its awesome nice and stiff. not too stiff not to soft and wimpy, bites nicely

10k strong with countless auto x and track days and drift events and i beat it around town if i feel like it

just use oem throwout bearing always...
clutch masters has like a plastic throwout-ew

I am using the clutchmasters fx100 with the g260, m20 single mass flywheel, and a mostly stock s52.

My reasoning was it'd be stronger than a stock m20 clutch kit, and it is. However, it's a little harsh for the daily driving I do. As in, your either spinning tires, or stalling it, but not that extreme. While it definitely holds the power, and has a nice bite, if I could go back, I would have just ran an s52 flywheel and stock s52 clutch kit.

Thanks for the comments ^^ this is exactly where I am right now. upgrade stk 260 to clutch master or find 'new' S/XX 240 mm set up. going from M50 -> s52
