I need exhaust setup help.

I need help with an exhaust setup and have no clue where to begin. I dont even know some of the terminology about the topic.

I have an e30 with an OBD1 S50 3.2 liter. I have s52 headers, but my exhaust from the headers to the tip of the exhaust is stock with a magnaflow cat.

This is what I am looking for in a setup.

Headers that dont impede or end up too close to the front sway bar
Piping that is as close to the body as possible so it doesnt scrape as much
A nice sound, (deep but quiet; but can sound mean at WOT)
a muffler that is lighter and can mount closer to the body (e36 muffler is a pig)
Stainless steel tips.
I want to abide by CA smog regulations but somethin that adds some powa.
AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS! -

Something that is easier to install and uninstall than my long, one piece piping that goes from headers to tip.

Some thing that is lighter and can possibly split in two pieces after the headers.

Ok----- At least give me a suggestion on a good muffler to get. Something that is light, has a deep droning sound and will fit nicely under the body of the e30.

your best bet is to have someone build one. i got a vibrant streetpower muffler from THMotorsport and i love the sound. nice and deep. then i just got a 2.5 inch cat and had my local exhaust shop connect it all with 2.5 pipe. i think the pipe hangers and welding was about 175. the cat is a universal magnaflow one. i couldnt be happier

So what I have is OBD2 headers to a magnaflow cat with a stock e36 muffler. Heavy and clunky.

Now I will stay with the magnaflow cat and am going with the streetpower 3inch pipe in 3.5inch dual tip out vibrant muffler. Lets see how it goes.
