s50: Hesitation/stumble on initial accel

95 s50 in e21. S50 is completely stock except for an m20 single mass flywheel. Engine hesitates when stabbing throttle at idle or trying to drive. It is only off closed throttle. if I hold the rpm above 1500 or so and stab it it does not do it. Engine idles smooth around 750 rpm. Smoke tested no vacuum leaks. Fuel pressure at 43 psi. Any thoughts?

Rubber hose inside tank from pump to sender failed. Runs like a champ now.
