Help needed: S50 wires identification

Hi,

I'm presently preparing my wiring for my swap. I'm having a hard time finding what these two wires are there for. My setup was in a trashed 87 325es. I'm now putting it in a clean 89 325i. The engine comes from a 95/4 M3 auto.

Here are the two wires that have been cut by the previous owner. They are routed on the same branch than the O2 sensor. The two wires are Green/white and Blue/Green, as shown on picture below.





My guest is that this was for the e36 tranny, and that it is now not required in an E30.

Any help will be appreciated!

Reverse lights. The easy solution is just to use the stock E30 harness in this case.
