    Shifter arm bearing(bushing)

Hi guys, sort of an add question here.

Trying to clue up the s50 swap into the touring. The touring had been an automatic so I am also swapping in the m3 transmission (1995).

The only issue is that it appears that the shifter arm bearing (#4 in this diagram:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...13&hg=25&fg=05) is missing from the shifter. The previous owner told me he had swapped in a z3 ssk so to speak, so I don't know if that will impact on anything. Essentially I need to know if I buy the e36 m3 shifter carrier bearing or if I buy a e30 one. I'm assuming I get a new e36 one as I haven't read anywhere that this won't work in an e30. Any advice or input is appreciated.

You're looking at two separate items here; #4 bolts to the body and will be from the e30. The UUC product replaces part #2 and is specific to the E36/ZF shifter carrier. (I'm not sure which cars had the round vs. oval bushings so you'll have to double check that).

Haha ok. Shows how out of my element I am on this. So Even though I am using the e36 transmission I need the shifter arm bushing from e30?

          yeah like Gooch said..

for the body attachment, look for the corresponding piece in the e30 diagrams.

on the trans side of the carrier, the UUC piece will work.

I used all e30 stuff with my S50/ZF. I'm pretty sure I bent the actual shift lever to centre it in the hole though.

I put a E30 Shifter Arm Bracket (comes with the bushing ) with my 97 M3 transmission, UUC DSSR, E36 Carrier and Z3 1.9 Shifter

I had to use the e30 bracket with the e36 shift arm.
