So I’m having so running issues and I think I may know what it is but some more insight is always nice.
A little back story first though
I bought the car a year ago, proceeded to blow the head gasket
(totaly my dumb ass fault), and then it sat for about a year while I finished other work note the ugly brick in the background…

I did some clean up work while I was getting the head pressure check and decked.

Then I happily DDed the car for the last 2 ½ months with absolutely no issues what so ever.
And now on the the issue at hand.
Friday February 15th I parked the car and went out of town for the weekend.
I came back Sunday the 17th and went to take the car to the store.
Put the key in turned it the first click. Dash light come on everything is normal. I turn the key over to start it and it starts with some hesitation, revs up to 2000 Rpm like it has been doing for the last 2 months, starts to rev down, (it has been idling at about 500 Rpm), but it doesn’t stop it just sputters out.
I figure it’s a fluke and nothing is wrong so I give it another go.
Same result.
So this time I try and keep the car running by feathering and pumping the throttle, it will rev up, clean to from the initial starting rpm of 2000 Rpm to 5000 Rpm, then when I stop feathering it will sputter out like before.
First I checked to see if everything was connected, icv and other vacuum lines, then I checked all the fuses, nothing wrong here. I disconnect the MAF and try again, same result. After reconnecting the MAF, I disconnect the TPS, same result.
So I’m thinking that the ICV is bad and I should at least try and disconnect it and see if it will idle.
Other than that I’m not sure it could be CPS or the Cam trigger but those are next on the list after that it goes to the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks
