Check Light

So I've done a lot of searching and have not found a suitable solution. When I start my car, with my foot on the brake, my check light blinks. When I push the check button, it stops. If I don't have my foot on the brake, the brake light comes on as well as the blinking check light. I tap my foot on the brake and push the check button and the light stops blinking.

My question is: Is there a way to stop the check light blinking upon start up so I don't have to push the check button each time?

Thats just the way it is. The check light will blink until you hit the brake letting the computer know your brake lights work.

Same thing happenes in my car with a new switch. I don't remember it doing this before the orignal switch went bad tho.

Read the Bentley, the ETM or the owners manual, it comes on until you push the brake pedal.

if it doesn't come on, you have issues.

Okay so even when I start my car, with my foot on the brake and no check lights are on, the check light on the dash is still supposed to blink? I just want to make sure.
