Dipstick tube bracket for using a 525 oil pan?

    Ok, here is the situation.
I need to order the proper later E34 525 dipstick tube to go with the 525 oil pan i have on my s52 motor. Patrick at BMA can't find a part number for the bracket that holds the dipstick tube. RealOEM says the bracket pictured was used up until 7/91, and they don't have a part number listed for anything later. Does the later 525 tube have a bracket built in? Anyone have access to a real ETK? Thanks.

If you read my post, you'll see that I state that realoem doesn't answer my question.

how hard is it to slip the dipstick tube in the oil pan hole? I tried today while I was working on some stuff, didn't seem like it wanted to go. I figured I'd take a closer look at it later, the motor isn't even in the car yet.

Sure you have the right dip stick? It should just slide in.

after replacing my o-ring, it did take considerable force to get the o-ring to pop into the groove. cheers, jason
