    E30 m50nv to m52 question

I have a 91 e30 that had a m50nv swapped in by the previous owner I'm in the middle of swapping an obd1 m52 in using a m50 vanos harness with 413 dme
So my question is do I need to change any of the c101 pinouts?
    Thank you

Depends if the harness of the new engine has been converted already... If unsure then swap over your old harness from your m50 over to your m52 and it should plug right in to c101...

No my old harness is from a non vanos m50, my new harness is from a vanos m50, I need the vanos harness to run the m52, looks like the previous owner swapped the pins/wires on the e30 side of the harness to run the m50 I'm just asking if I need to change any around to run the m52.
      Thank you

You should not if the new harness was done correctly and the new harness is made for your car.
There are wiring differences between different years of e30 so if the harness was not made for your car it may not be correct.

So my car has a c101 to x20 pig tail for the nv50 swap will it still work for a m52?

different shielding on crank or cam sensors and no knock sensor harness are a quick difference that gets to my mind right now, i converted m50nv to m50tu, you need the harness and ecu from the new engine.

Make sure you ditch the m50nv harmonic balancer as it has a different referance mark for tdc
