    after 24v swap my windows no longer function

    hey guys after my swap my windows no longer work. at first i didnt care cause it was like 30 degrees everyday but now that the weather is warming up i'd really like to be able to use my windows. i heard its something with a resistor or something? any help would be appreciated.

    Did you accidentally forget to plug in the window circut to the right of the shifter? That little button that can piss people off causing them to go insane.

        i have a vert so im not sure if i have one of those buttons. i just looked. a pic would help

          Welcome to the wacky world of BMW electricals.

          Do a bit of research on "unloader relays" and go see if your HVAC fan works...it won't.

            i mean ive been driving the car for about 2 months now. my heat worked fine up to 2-3 weeks ago. i took an hour long trip worked fine. on the way back the heat stopped working randomly.

              My switch was bypassed by jumping the wires therefore eliminating the switch.

                  There is a small wire that plugs into the 10mm stud / nut on the back of the alternator that goes to the back of the starter solenoid. If that is disconnected or loose then your power windows will not function.

                    Yes, the wire is green/black and should be grounded when the car is not cranking.

                    Meaning when cranking it is either open or 12V...but no matter. Most everyone simply grounds it, heaven forbid you use your HVAC fan or windows while starting your car...
