The final goal will be a 2.8L Turbocharged overbuilt engine for street/weekend track use.
Now that that's throw out there, which base does the community recommend starting with..
As it stands right now I have a M50TUb25 and sourcing a 2.8L crank.
I have options locally for moderate pricing (all resulting in such similar spending it really comes down to which is the preferred combination)
-M52B28 complete ....Which if I use extra's from the m50tuB25 it'll transition smother.
-m52b28 bottom to pop onto the m50tub head.
-M52B28 crank + corresponding pieces to simply stroke the m50tub25
-Sell the M50tub, get a M50 NV head to go onto the 2.8 Block....
Etc etc....I've done searching and there really isn't much information out there regarding any benefit to one combination or the other, and by benefit I mean either easier install, easier wiring, more reliable electronics, benefit of vanos or not...ease of emu integration/futur tuning etc etc.
I've got plenty of information on M52 builds and a few m50 strokers etc but the PITA details i'm assuming will be what set each apart.
I've been sitting on my hands trying to figure this out myself as my engine collects dust so I figure i'd finally put the question out there to see what "the pros" thought....
