    m50 no start

So ive gotten to the final stages of my turbo build.... except now the car doesnt start. Wasnt ran for maximum 2 months.

Fuel pump works, cleaned all spark plugs(did not test for spark), new injectors.
Im dealing with a weak crank.
I sprayed a little quick starting fluid in the intake.
There was a bit of a detonation somewhere in the manifold(i guess spark plugs work)
After further investigation, noticed 2 hoses were unplugged near the vanos. They ran under the manifold and just hung there.
Larger one attaches to nothing, smaller one has a plastic "T" fitting on the end. It looks a bit damaged. Possibly by the detonation.

What does the ccv do? Would it stop the engine from starting? Since i am going FI, do i need it? Where are those two hoses supposed to be plugged in?

    TANKS GUYS N GALS
    The investigation continues
    Will post pics soon

You don't need the ccv for the engine to start. Mine is just vented to air through a filter. Directly behind the throttle body on the bottom side of the manifold there is a little plastic conector/clip that the small one plugs into(same connector as the icv goes to. That little nipple should be plugged or blocked off somehow. The larger normally goes to the intake boot but since your boosting that should not see boost. you can either vent to air or use a pre-turbo catch can setup!

Ooo. The catch can. I wasnt going to use one because i didnt know where it went. So it goes to the little hose and just collects oil so it doesnt drip?

Both of them from the crankcase go through the catch can. However this will not cause your car to not start!

Does the ecu need to be grounded? Its just floating around the space. How Is it even bolted in for that matter?

I may as well get new spark plugs, if im going for lets say... 15psi, would stock work for me? No wasted spark setup(whatever that is)

Am I crazy to suggest a dead battery?

                No sir, you are not!
Car is being jumped. Actually almost decided to catch. There was a little hesitation as if it were going to.
the detonation dislodged the hose that attaches the throttle body to what i feel is the icv.it is now plugged in. It made a large improvement, but not large enough.
Replaced spark plugs 1,2,3,4 with brk6e. i couldnt find two more plugs at any auto shop. old plugs were quite fouled
Seems smoke is not coming from intake, actually somewhere below it
thats all i got so far

If its turning over with starter fluid then try tracking down any fuel feed issues. In my case it was a bad set o injectors.
For starters try checking if you have fuel in the rail and check fuel
Pressure. There's a nipple on the fuel rail, be careful once you depress it fuel will shoot out as it is under pressure.
The ECU/DME is grounded through the harness not the mounts.
Good luck I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually just hope that it's something small.
All you really need for the engine to fire is the crank sensor, fuel and spark.

Im going to try to start it with a jump pack instead of cables, maybe the increased amps n magic should lead me to victory!

And if that doesnt work... well fuck me right?
