    well if it helps, using the m50tu sensor which is plastic i ended removing the ridge form the sensor to allow it to sit flush to the head, used a 18x2 oring instead of the 17x3.

    if you don't remove the ridge from the sensor it will have a 2-3mm gap between the head so the sensor will be far from the trigger wheel

    I installed a 1991 m50nv head into my 1997 m3. Kept all original s52 everything (cams, cam trays with clearance fof s52 counterweighted cams, s52 lifters, s52 vanos and s52 cam sensor)

    Installed the S50 cams and the M52 Vanos on my M50NV.
    We dremell the one side to fit the bolt and expanded the side to make sure that oil return had a way to do so.
