    m50 pistons and rods question

I've been looking around for an m54b30 rotating assembly for awhile now, and the best option I've been able to come up with, is just the crank on its own.

This may come off as a stupid question, but would it be possible, and / or cheaper to get m50 NV rods to use with the m54b30 pistons? I know the connecting rods for the m50NV and m54b30 are both 135mm, and I've heard that the rods for the m54 aren't as reliable, while the NV rods are supposed to be damn near bulletproof. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Would definitely be much appreciated =D.

newer bmw rods = better rods.

NV rods weight too much. don't use them.

I know they're heavier, but the plan down the road for the build is eventual forced induction, and I've read that the m50NV rods are good for anything you'll throw at em, while the m54 rods aren't ideal for a 500 - 600 hp build.

if your goal is 500-600 i think you better invest in some good aftermarket rods and have a peace of mind

btw, m54 rods are the same as m52b28 and brett was doing around 580whp with them stock on a m52 at 25psi iirc
