S52 Cams Into M50s

[Low Level E30]

I have heard S52 cams will not fit into an M50 vanos head, as the cam carrier tray is different in the M50 vs the S/M52s:

(1) True or False?

(2) Can any parts be exchanged to fit the S52 cams an M50 vanos head?

And yes, obviously it would be easier to just get S50 cams. But humor me :D

Get the cam trays from an obd-2 engine, and you'll be fine. Try to get the obd-2 lifters as well. They're lighter, and allow you to rev to 7k safely.
