RPM not accurate in my M50 Swap

    Hi guys,

As the title goes, I've just finished my m50 swap from m40. Everything's going smooth. the only problem is my cluster especially the RPM and the temperature. The RPM is not accurate (i think) and the temperature gauge keeps on bouncing from stabilizing in the middle it sometimes drop and jump back to the middle. Is there a difference between a 4 pot cluster and a 6 pot cluster? Please advise.

    Thank you.

Yes you will need a 6 cylinder coding plug

Its located on the bottom right of the gauge cluster. Take out the black cluster frame and you'll see it. No need to take out the whole cluster.
Part number depends on engine, just pop in a known 325i plug.
This is considering you have a late model cluster/car.
