    Temp switch not functioning properly

so my temp switch is either not working as it should or I have a wiring issue.
I have both high and low speed wires to power on my fan side ( not temp switch side ) but my snowflake button won't turn it on, and neither will my temp switch. I'm going to double check my fan and check the amperage draw today but what I'm wondering is why the switch isn't working... its a white two pole switch I got from pelican parts..

Is there another switch that is better? I was looking up on etk what degree switches there was and found an 80/88 C right here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...89&hg=17&fg=05

What is everyone else using? and is this switch known junk or did I just get a dud?

You probably have a dead resistor for the low speed, I found I have this same issue on my yet to be converted m20 car. I jumped the relay for the high speed and the fan works, measured no continuity across the low speed resistor so neither the low temp side of the switch or AC will trigger the fan to run.

Also, isn't an 80/88 degree thermostat too low? 24v's come with an 88 degree thermostat from the factory so the stock 91/99 switch should be fine. There is no real benefit to running an engine that cool and an 80/88 will put your fan on all the damn time once up to operating temps instead of when needed.

Ive got an 80 thermostat, I don't want it to over heat what so ever so thats why Im doing it this way. But there is no resistor, its an aftermarket fan.
I jumped the fan and it works fine, its drawing 13 amps which is alittle high for the 15 amp fuse on the low speed side ( only being used as snowflake button for now since i have the 2 post temp switch ) other than that i see nothing wrong but the switch.
