I did the swap (M50NV), and EVERYTHING worked. I installed an aftermarket stereo along with swapping the dash... Now the Tach does not work.
I recently ran the car into a curb. After installing new control arms, bushings, sway bar bushings and tie-rod ends... the tach started working again, however the odometer stopped working.
I took the cluster out to investigate the odometer (broken gear teeth) to find that when I re-installed the cluster, the tach would not work again.
