M50 Coolant hose need help identifying!

Hi guys, my 1991 318is m50 swap starting overheating tonight, to the point steam was coming from under the hood. All of my coolant is spraying out onto the ground, i believe i found the culprit. The coolant is spraying out of a hole in the black end, it seems a hose is gone or blown off, where does the hose go or where would it connect to? http://imgur.com/0j6Du7V Sorry, i had to use imgur as im in a rush and dont know how to embed images. Thanks

No prob. Just not sure wtf that thing is. I don't have one, so maybe A/C specific. Seems like a level sensor or something. Have a look around where it can reach, gotta find a hole.
I'm sure someone will be more knowledgeable than I ;)

I figured it out, its the airbox intake thermostat. Not sure if its even used in my swap, might just connect the two hoses as the thermostat doesnt seem to be used.

Ohhh yep, for the throttle heating. You can delete it and most people here also delete the throttle heating hoses too. Cleans it up a bit.

Hmmm, i just connected the two hoses from the thermostat. But now my car is overheating, i tihnk i just have to bleed the coolant system, or atleast thats what im hoping.
