    86 325es obd1 s52 no spark no fuel

Hey guys I am struggling with this car for some reason, after messing around with it a bit i figured id post it up here and see if anyone has any tips that may help me out.

The car crank fine and I believe the ecu is getting power because the iac turns on when the key is switched on, But i have no start, so checked it for spark, nothing, check the fuel pump ...you guessed it , nothing. so after opening my harnes adapter up and checking it out I decided to try it on my car,(89 325is with obd1 s52 swap) and my car fired right up.... so while doing this i decided to confirm the ecu was good also, it also ran fine in my car.

I have searched and red a bunch of stuff about hooking the power and grounds up for the ecu and I have my car to go off for reference.

can anyonbe confirm that th ecu is what turns the iac on? or does it get power from a relay and the ecu actually may no tbe turning on? I ask becuase I don't have the CEL wired in 86.

I had the same problem and it turned out it was a bad ground. Did you try jumping the fuel pump relay?

I am running into somewhat of the same issues.. 86' 325 s52 obd1 swap. Got everything hooked up and we go to hook the negative terminal and theres a hot wire somewhere, I have no clue where at this point. As soon as I touched the battery terminal the engine actually tried to start. So if anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
