    Hi, I just finished my swap, everything went great, I used the conversion chart from garagistic

    Things to note: In our opinion, the best harness for this swap is an early manual 93-94 325I harness. It's simple and can be acquired from any junkyard for cheap. Not to mention, you won't have to sit there and eliminate wires you did not use. However, if you got a harness out of an auto car it can still be used. You c


    However, I keep getting code 1234 (speedometer signal A)

    1234 Speedometer "A" Signal:
    This code is generated when the engine is under load, over 2500 RPM and no discernable speedometer signal can be detected for more than 10 seconds. Check the wiring harness, and also the instrument console.

    I know the c101 (engine side) is pin 14, goes to the dme, however my c101 chassis side is not a black/white wire, I don't know if that's the correct pin to use, when i removed the dme from the m42, I removed a plug near the ecu, c104?

    Is this where i need to splice the vss signal that cames from the cluster to the dme instead of pin 14 on the c101?

    The check only cames at wot..

    Never mind, wiring is ok, my car had a bad cluster, here is a test video of my s50 e30 with zf trans and s2.79...
