ps pump replacement option for the s52?

my pump went out and i was wondering if a m5x pump will work. its slightly cheaper than a s52 pump. thanks in advance for any advice.

Think they may be different. But, I have a m52 pump I'll sell you cheap.

If you look it up on realoem.com you'll see that they are completely different. The s52 one is made by ZF the others are from LUK. My guess is that the ZF one was designed to take the abuse and to withstand the elevated redline.

I bought a remanufactured one from Autozone and it works fine. Not the cheapest but they have 20% off on ship-to-home orders right now.
