Last night I tore down my S52 and

I know that all US market got the same head with exception of the M50b25NV and even that head can be modified to accept a vanos. But I was rather surprised to pull the head and see a 2.5 marking on the engine for a 3.2 engine.

Anyway I need a 24V head someone have one presently have one for sale?

      They are all marked 2.5

Keep in mind BMW never planed S50/S52 USA in advance. Their real S50 got turned down by EPA emissions, so they had to work with M50, thus the 2.5 markings on the head.

Yeah, I am aware of that, I just assumed that there might have been a slight modification to the chamber area. So the only real reason between the different part numbers for the head gasket is to apply towards compression.

Real S50's buyers would have balked at maintenance costs because I'm sure BMW could have tweaked the tuning to get it to comply with US emissions.

The m50/52 engines are 84mm bore
          S52 is 86.4mm bore

          Head gasket will reflect this.

S54 us version had air pump and catalyst moved to headers; mapping is also different
