So I ended up not making the cam lock blocks I originally posted and instead made this one-piece design as described in the Haynes manual.



Made from 3/8" thick aluminum. You can also see my simplified flywheel lock tool.

I updated the PDF file in my original post to include the drawing for the one-piece locking tool.

ZDmak also sells them for a good price.

And the locks are two piece so you can use them on m42/44 as well.
