    318I swap Pinout

    Think I have finished making my wiring diagram. Wanted to get some more experienced fellas to check it out.

    This is what I have for the 91 318I pinout. I looked at 89 and 91 325 pinout as well as the 91 318I addendum. Also compared to a few I found around here.



    93 325 M50 Harness



    And what I came up with for the repinning of E36 harness.




    let me know if there are any blatant errors.

    Also, what do you guys do with the extra wires on the engine side? Do you trace them back and cut them out?

      C101 Pin 14 should be connected to X20 Pin 9 or you may get issues related to your rev limit and/or CEL codes.

      Everything else looks correct.

        So are you saying I have my pin 9 and 14 backwards?

          No. Your last diagram shows C101 pin 14 connected to X20 pin 14. It should be C101 pin 14 connected to X20 pin 9.

            Ok I'll dig into the etm's again. But every pinout I've seen has the x20 pin 9 without a use. Just a blank pin.

              You are right, my wiring was based on a 96 m52 engine, which is different than your m50. Carry on! Sorry for the confusion.
