M50 swap over winter, a couple questions

Hey guys so I'm planning on swapping my m20 to an m50 this winter as a project. I'm looking to pick up an m50 now I can start cleaning it, replacing seals, gaskets, etc. I've found someone selling an m50TUB25 complete with all accessories, e36 trans, ecu, wiring harness, and potentially e36 driveshaft all for 275 obo. The owner just bought the e36 to swap a 2jz in it, but he was told the engine has 108k on it. The engine turns over with a wrench and the owner states that when he picked up the car he tried to turn the engine over, but it wasn't getting any spark. Also, the engine has been sitting in the car not running for 2 years. Owner states that the oil was clean when he drained it. I plan on looking at this engine and I am just looking for some tips on what I am getting myself into. Obviously I'm going to pull the valve cover and check things like that, but what else should I check. What else will I have to replace if the engine has been sitting for two years? What's you guys opinion on price for all of this? Thanks in advance.

    crazy good deal!!!

m50s go forever and as long as the valvetrain doesnt have sludge its good to go!

Ok cool. Yeah I thought it sounded like a good deal. Probably going to pick this up Friday. Anything else I should be aware of or check? (First time swapping an engine ever for me)

Going to pick this up soon. Here are some pics of the engine. What do you guys think? I think it just needs to be washed, cleaned up, and painted.

Just noticed something, in the last pic on the valve cover it has two numbers written. One says "180" and the next one says "0". Hope that isn't a compression test number. 180 seems way too high and 0 is way too low.

Bump. The rust on the block shouldn't affect anything right? What's the best way to tackle the rust on the block?

it's pretty harmless, just ugly. pick up a wire wheel and a can of engine enamel and go to town
