    S52 swap, FUEL CONTROL VALVE!!!!

Hello everyone. I am right in the middle of my s52 swap into my 1990 e30. And I am running into a little problem. I have search for hours for this.
So my question to you guys is where does the remote fuel control plug into. I can not find any plugs off the harness. There is a solenoid with a plug on it but I have nothing to plug into it. Do I just leave it unplugged? Is it just a power and a ground? I am confused.
Also when people installed this did they just cut the hard lines back and installed it undered the car?
This is the last part of my build!!!! Help me please. :)

Oh ya also this is for running the lost valve. And it am running the stock remote fuel control valve for the s52.

Easy solution is to grab an e39 528i fuel rail and swap it out. It puts the FPR on the rail but uses the OBD2 mounts.

I know that I can do that but I do want to spend the money for that and I have the remote fcv already.

Do you have no long wires on your harness that are left untouched? Are you running OBD1 or OBD2? I just finished my OBD2 swap and I have a bundle of very long wires that are meant to run down below for the secondary o2 sensors, running loss valve (what you're looking at) and I believe one other piece. OBD1 cars did not have that frame rail mounted FPR and I am not sure if you can use it with an obd1 swap setup or if it will cease to allow flow without the electrical connection.

Excuse my ignorance, but what year 528 should I be looking for, and does the s52 regulator bolt up to this rail or do I need the 528i regulator too?

I believe any 528i with an M52, check realoem for a part number then grab one off ebay for cheap. The fuel pressure is the same, so you can keep the FPR on the S52. My swap is on the road as of today so if you have questions you can shoot me PM's

The early model 528i's have the FPR built into the fuel rail, I think the 98+ models have it under the car or something.

96&97 e39 M52 cars for the rail. 98+ E39's got DV motors. Only issue I noticed when running the E36 one was where to put it, and under the booster is tight with the charcoal canister and knuckle. I am using an E39 rail now, better than obd1 since cover bolts on now.

Those of you staying obd2, how are you dealing with the P1145 error code if you are not running the 3/2 control valve?

Can you just plug in the control valve without actually connecting the fuel lines? A

re there any solutions without having to cut the fuel lines and splicing in the control valve? Thanks.

Pretty sure it can be flashed out.

I have the flash from Markert for my swap, mind you it's a couple of years ago, so things may have changed. But this has been a lingering problem. I will try to find a valve and plug it in. Thanks.
