Just got my m50 in the car and im noticing some things. For one, i got the motor mounts in and lined up, (im using the e28 m5 round ones even though some say you cant, ive read of people having success with them) and when i was attaching the drive shaft it seems there is a half inch of space between the guibo and the 3 studs of the shaft. When i aline my shifter carrier so neutral is straight up, it is a half inch forward of the center.
I sinched up the drive shaft by threading the bolts on more but the shifter is still off. By using the m5 round mounts, am i setting the engine 1/2 inch forward?? This is the only thing i can think of. And if your just going to tell me to go buy the right mounts, thats not helping. And to make sure, the offset stud on the engine mounts is offset towards or away from the engine, correct? Not parallel to the car. Thanks
