    M50 rebuild Main bolts

    Need some first hand experience

Can someone tell me if a M10x80 bolt will fit?
for some reason its $3.50 cheaper per bolt then the specified M10x75

    That's a $49 difference for 5 mm difference

Fun Fact ARP Studs are 95 mm long and don't bottom out on the block
    Reference: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...in-stud-issues

I know thread I posted above says the M50 block will accept the 80mm bolt, but over the years I've learned never just read a follow blindly...and however strange it may seem I'm just posting this up for all to know and read my random thoughts about BMW main bolts tonight

    Boring yes...useful maybe;)

Ireland Engineering used to sell ARP main bolts for the M20 which I think were 80mm length. I'm not seeing them on their website now but you could possibly call over there and talk to Andrew. The M20 and M50 use the same main bolt. That being said, you main bolts do not need to be replaced upon removal. You can re-use them.
