    S50 hot start problem

Alright, well I've done a fair amount of research on this but wanted some opinions. I have an S50 swapped 91 318is and after driving the car for about 10-15 min then letting it sit while I go in a store or something and come out, it wont start. I have replaced a lot of items, new fuel pump, fuel filter, new crank sensor, starter, coolant temp sensors and battery but still have the same issue. I'm running out of patience, I should note that the motor doesn't try to crank when I start it, all I can hear is the fuel pump. Generally if I leave it alone for an hour it will start up again, but this is a nuisance. It seems like something is getting heat soaked but frankly I'm out of ideas. Any insight? Thanks again guys.

Maybe its your starter being intermittent? Have you tried giving it a whack with a big pole while someone tries to crank the car over?

I haven't, but originally we thought it was the starter so it was replaced less than a week ago and the problem still occurs, not saying the starter is not bad, but it has been replaced

Check your grounds. Maybe as the engine gets to temperature something is moving and you're losing good connection. Sounds like it could be time to bust out the multimeter.

Ok well a friend came over today and we went through the grounds and they all seemed very tight. I had delusions of hearing the fuel pump when the car wouldnt start..we drove it around for 10 min again and it wouldnt fire up after 5 min of sitting nor would the fuel pump kick on. After sitting for 10-15 min more the fuel pump kicked on and the car fired right up..we are thinking this is ignition related? If the ignition switch is getting too hot could this be a reasonable cause for my issue? Thanks guys!
