    E30 Temp Sensor

    Everyone,

I blew the head on my M52. Bought a new one from Robert K (highly recommended) and I'm trying to fit my e30 temp sensor in the front port of the head. Its OBD 1 b/c it has two ports (one for ecu, and temp sensor). I didn't have to die the e30 sensor to fit in my first head, but after research it seams common. Anyone have a quick write up how to do this? Can I take some fine sandpaper to it and work them down? Anyone have a model # of the die they used?

    Thanks!

I believe m52 has 1 temp sensor where the m50 has 2, the front port on an obd1 is for the dme and that's blue in color and the rear port is for the gauge and that's where the e30 sensor goes. I'm just going from memory on my s50 which is obd1 and that's my sensor set up, should be same as m50

You want to replace the black sensor that is further back on your head with the M20 sensor.

You only have to rethread if you are trying to install it on an OBD2 head.
