    Transmission not lining up

So quick question. I am doing an s50 swap using the g260 in my 1986 325e and the shifter arm plate is too far to the right to line up to the hole in the transmission tunnel correctly, I couldn't find any info on that, just on how to modify the linkage 10 degrees.

Here is a pic of how far off I am

Anybody else have this problem and know how to fix it? I tried loosening the motor mounts and then using a pry bar on the bellhousing but then the motor wouldn't sit correctly. Should I just cut the shifter arm and move it so the hole in the arm and the hole in the tunnel line up center then reweld it back?

    Any help is much appreciated.

I think if you loosen the two 8mm hex bolts that attach the shift bracket bushings to the trans, you should be able to rotate it. Did you modify your shift linkage too?
