Ok so i just got my swap done about a month ago and i was cleaning the bay... stupid me thought it was a good idea to use a power washer. I put a bag over the intake and stayed away from the fuse box like usual, but since the swap, this is my first engine ive ever owned with coil on plugs so i wasnt thinking about water getting down there. So i drove it home without issues and the next day started it up and it was only running on 4 or 5. I knew what was wrong and i knew i soaked the plugs so i took the coils out and dried/cleaned them and did new factory spec plugs. I could see some of the pistons were still wet with fuel residue so i expected it to run rich for a bit, which it did. Thought i had it solved...
But now i when im in the idle to 1500 range and accel hard, it sputters a lot. Or when im in a high gear and going slow, so 4th at 15-20mph, when i floor it, it stutters a lot.
So what could it be? Could i have burnt out a coil or 2, or does it make sense that it would run like this for a while if most of the cylinders were flooded just a day or two ago. The smoke stopped though, took it for a couple mile spin after i did the plugs and it smokes at higher rpm when i left and doesnt anymore sooo... yeah. Runs great above 2000rpm though. Thanks guys.
