    M50 Single Vanos w/ 5sp Swap Worth

Looking into a 24v swap, found one locally with a single vanos m50 out of a 525i (perfect!) with 5 speed tranny. has roughly 100k miles and runs very well, comes with everything needed for the swap! The owner doesnt really know what its worth so he told me to make an offer so i said id get back to him. I kinda have a ball park of what its worth but im not 100%, what do you think?

I'd pay as much as a grand for the ecu, harness, engine, tranny, and assurance of knowing it runs well. I'd probably pay $1200. If you can get it cheaper, great!

Be tactful in your lowball if you really want the parts. If I knew my shit was worth $1000-1500 and some guy offered me $350 I'd tell him to get lost and not even entertain a reasonable offer at that point. Your best bet is to act ignorant to what things are worth, be super respectful and maybe you'll come to an agreement.

Offer $500 and play dumb and he'll either take it, or ask for more.
