anyone know how to get these off? On an s50 valve cover... (Rubber things with stud coming out of them)

They are threaded with a metal insert. Squeeze tightly at the base and turn CCW.1988 E30/S50...now with S52; Track

You could double-nut the upper threaded part if the method mentioned above doesn't work-AlexComment

You could double nut it but they usually separate doing that and you have to prelate them and still use a set of pliers to remove the lower portion.Comment

Yeah I put vice grips on the bottom portion and turned ccw. They came off with a bit Of persuasion... Thanks a lot guys!Comment
