    S50 valve cover

    anyone know how to get these off? On an s50 valve cover... (Rubber things with stud coming out of them)

    They are threaded with a metal insert. Squeeze tightly at the base and turn CCW.

      You could double-nut the upper threaded part if the method mentioned above doesn't work

        You could double nut it but they usually separate doing that and you have to prelate them and still use a set of pliers to remove the lower portion.

          Yeah I put vice grips on the bottom portion and turned ccw. They came off with a bit Of persuasion... Thanks a lot guys!
