So I'm trying to determine if I need to spend anything past this pelican parts order and my Markert order for 318i mounts for ecu and M20 modified temp sensor.
I'm super surprised by the cost of all the parts but I am willing to pay more to have the new master and slave cylinders both. A bit of background on my experience, zero manual trans experience. I've driven a stick about 10 times total in life and I've never replaced a clutch, much less swap a 24v auto in with a G260. I'm getting the flywheel machined/shaved/balanced Tuesday and then my expenses minus tools such as a bleeder kit need to stop. I've spent far too much on this project.
So with all that stated, I'd like to know if there is anything I don't need on this list as I'm really not wanting to spend anywhere near the 450 subtotal I'm at now but I want to do the swap right.
List (eek):
Transmission refresh (G260
1. output shaft seal
2. input shaft seal
3. selector rod seal
4. SKF Pilot bearing
5. Release Fork
6. Release Fork Spring
7. Sachs Throw Out Bearing (TOB)
8. Clutch Alignment Tool
9. New Bolts and washers for trans mounting
10. Shifter bushings, clips, washers, & bolts
11. Pressure Plate bolts
12. Flywheel Bolts
13. Karlyn Center Support & Bearing
14. M50 Flywheel Seal (one with tension spring and one without????)
15. Pivot Pin for Release Fork
16. Clutch Slave New
17. Clutch Master New
18. Clutch Hose Fitting
19. Clutch Hose Master to Slave
20. Clutch Hose To Pressure Plate Hose (???)
Yep that's pretty much the list of stuff in my Pelican Parts cart at almost 450
I already refreshed what needed on the M50TU, so I just needed the Pilot and Rear main seal listed above for it, with the exception of the temp sensor M20 I'm getting from Markert Motor Works.
Let me know what you think about other things to be added or hopefully something I can take away :D.
Thanks for considering,
Nate
EDIT: I just added new driveshaft nuts. Also do I need a new guibo or can I run without one?
