    ECU problem (403 nv)

I have two ECUs for m50 nv, 402 and 403. The 402 red label works works well with the vehicle (runs and drives) but when I mount the 403 ecu green lable, I hear the DME relay click (white) and the Idle Control Valve starts humming even without having the key in the ignition. The car will crank over and over but not run. What could be the problem?

Could just be a bad DME? If the red label works fine why not just leave it in? Is there some benefit to the green label 403's? (asking because I have a 403 for my swap).

There is nothing wrong with having a 403 in a swap, it is just that I have a tune for a 403 ecu and the ecu is acting up.

For whatever it's worth. After I got my car running with the Dinan Chipped 403, it never ran right. Wouldn't start sometimes, bucked and surged at partial throttle. Switched over to a bone stock 402 and the car runs absolutely perfect.
