    Injector upgrade for S52

As Im currently building a NA S52 I had a question for any M/S5X gurus out there. Are 24# injectors really enough for ~300-310 BHp? Ive noticed that on the engine bay thread there is a built s52 with 24# injectors pushing 290 ish RWHP. For some reason that just seems low, anyone have any experience with this? Is 24# enough or should I just go bigger and tune down fuel?

I have a fully blueprinted S52 that will be pushing about 280-290 as soon as i hook up my standalone ECU and get some tuning done. Currently using 24# but planning on stepping that up in the very near future. 300whp is a very very high # for an S52. Whats your setup? ITB's? Euro or USA motor?

Ha, 300 bhp, not 300whp. It's a US3.2 But it has a ported and polished head, shricks, 11.5 compression ratio, and is also bored out to 87mm. On top of this I'll be using an m50 manifold and obd1 tuning.

And that's just a rough guess for hp. As I'm not 100% sure.

Well aside from how terrible OBD 1 tuning is, I have a 5 angle valve grind, schrick cams, oversized valves/supertech dual springs, port/polish, block bored out with wiseco high comp. pistons, m50 manifold, vac 75mm throttle body, supersprint headers and i originally dynoed 250 to the wheels on a dynojet with a TRM chip. With a Vipec standalone ECU and alot more tuning i will probably hit 280 to the ground. Thats with a drivegear tranny and REM polished diff & CV joints. 300bhp out of a US S52 is just about unheard of without ITB's are some serious overbore.

I see. I was simply going off what others had said. Thanks for the info, it should help the estimating a bit.

Ive used the calculators like that, I just wasn't sure how accurate they were. Given the amount of variance among engines.
