I did the filling of the upper hose. Ive turned the car on to op temp in intent to bleed and let cool and turned on and let cool about 7 times now. I get some hot air from the vents but then it disappears. It keeps coming in and out.

    Just keep doing it?

X10000 for installing a bleeder screw on the t stat housing. No more bleeding issues. Makes coolant flushes a breeze.

Is this a new swap ?or ?

Are your heater hoses connected properly ?
        Heater Core Coolant Hoses
        • The "spider" hose connects to the top heater core pipe out of the firewall in the engine bay.
        • The coolant hose from the back of the head connects to the bottom heater core pipe out of the firewall in the engine bay.
        My CA legal M60 swap

Last time I bled my system i drilled the T-stat and pulled off the upper radiator hose and one of the heater core hoses and filled through the radiator until I got water out of both of them. I was trying for hours without cracking the hoses and got nowhere.

I am aware of the spider hose issue. Mine is in the right place. I have had this swap for over 2 years now.

Just to make sure --- you filled water through the actual radiator? And which heater core hose did you undo (spiderhose)?

              OkAYYY---

I think I finally got it. I think what helped was filling in the coolant and water from the top hose. I still tried various attempts to bleed but it was not enough after that, however it did help to get water more throughout the engine.

The other thing that helped was to let the car cool and let air escape through the top rad hose. I attempted to remove it, but when I loosened the clamp and twisted the hose to take it off, a lot of air went "PSHSHHHH" to escape. That was a great help.

I had the car idling and running for about 10-15 mins and it didnt go past halfway. When it close to half way, I turned the spal fan on as well as the heater and it cooled closer to the 1/4 mark quickly. Thanks all!
