Hey r3v, looking for some ideas here.......
I was driving the other day and my negative battery cable came off its terminal and my car drove for abit after but only after all my lights shut off and my speedo went haywire. I parked and the next day I went to take a look at it and it cranked but wouldnt turn over. The crank sounds EXTREMELY healthy. Battery is charged and good to go. I had a buddy come and plug it in and run a diagnostic. The EWS II module wasnt being detected.
Could my EWS module have been reset by the battery terminal coming off?
If so, how can i re align it?
My buddy tried to re-align it but it kept timing out midway. He said it could be fried, but as far as i know you cant just go around replacing EWS module right?
How the heck can i get around this?
oh and I did check the CPS sensor and all. replaced it and still no spark from the coils or anything, but the EWS stops that if its not linked up right. and help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks-AL
