I'll be honest, transmissions are still fairly new to me so I don't know much about them. While cleaning up the G250 I've been planning on using for my swap today. I was messing around after I got my UUC shifter and new bushings on shifting it through the gears. Seems to shift just fine but then I noticed while turning the input shaft, that only in 1st gear, I can hold the output shaft still while turning the input shaft. There is some light clicking from inside as I do this. My G240 I just removed doesn't do this and no other gears do so I'm assuming I've got a busted 1st gear on this thing and I should probably start looking into another option??

That is correct, you should only be able to hold one end and spin the other in neutral. -
