s52 obd1 zf + 4.10 lsd anyone?

So my set up now will be 3.73 LSD since 3.25 I bought before turn out to be non LSD.
Also I will be running 215/40/17 wheels

3.73 for daily driving was pretty annoying for me, went to a 2.93 which is much better, but I'm currently looking for a 3.25 which i think will be perfect

having both a 2.93 and 4.10 would be good if you DD and track the car and don't mind swapping diffs from time to time. obviously, the 2.93 for DD. i bet the 4.10 would be nice at small tracks like buttonwillow, willow springs, roebling, and sebring. it would probably close on the straights at VIR and road atlanta and the oval at autoclub though.

tire and wheel diameter would play a role in this as well. i like to run close to the size the manufacture intended for the transmission i'm using then go from there.

4.10 is great for sears point and Buttonwillow. Sears and button willow could possibly use a 4.27

this will be a useless but kind of fun setup, i had a ZF trans with a 4.10lsd with a m50nv. topspeed was like 180kmh(110mph).
1gear is useless, but to be honest i had some pretty decent starts with it from a dig
2-3gear is what you will be using for starts

the biggest problem is, when its wet the car will be some sort of axe swinging maniac
it happend once to me, i was in 5th gear driving like 25mph, stepped on the gas and the car came sideways on a slightly wet road. its fun if you await something like that, but driving in traffic needs your full concentration.

find another solution if you don't want smoking tires and driving sideways in wanted an unwanted situations.

i think something in the 3.25-3.46 range would be perfectly fine

The 3.25 will be a good ratio, but the diff isn't plug and play from e36 to e30 unless it came from an M coupe or roadster.

3.25 lsd from an E28 problem solved.

I have a zf310 and 3.73 lsd in my daily driver. Could be better but I can live with it daily. A track car should be fine with the 4.1 as long as you don't run out of gear/top speed at the bigger tracks.

Depends on your traction situation; 2nd is useful if needed.

Not sure anyone uses 1st gear on the track besides for pit row.

4.10 is good on sonoma raceway (215/45/17) @7500rpm

3.91 is good for thunder hill.

A 3.15 on 16s is just about perfect for mostly street/occasional AutoX use.

No mention of transmission type. Build for a class legal or just DE day's. Ours is built as a crap can car. We run it ragged.
