    M50 cel 1247

Hey everyone. I've searched a ton and can't find any good info on this code, and nothing specific to the M50 or S50, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My E30 has an M50 vanos with S50 cams, 21.5# injectors, and a TRM chip.

I can't get rid of this 1247 CEL (Ignition Secondary Monitor). I get this code via the stomp test and the same code with my Peake reader. The car seems to be running just fine (other than slightly rich according to my wideband), which is making it hard for me to diagnose the problem.

So far I have replaced the battery, checked fuel pressures, replaced the FPR, cleaned/rebuilt/tested injectors, replaced MAF, tested the whole system for vac leaks, replaced plugs, replaced Cam position sensor, checked all ignition wiring for splits/arcing, tested voltage in the connectors at the coil packs, and tested the packs with a voltmeter and by disconnecting their power sources one by one. Coils seem good, and I have battery voltage at the packs. All the plugs are obviously burning too, as I'm not getting any misfires and all plugs are clean and dry.

So, does anyone have experience with this code? I've been building this car for 6 months and I can't get it on the road until I get this light out.

Thanks very much for your time.

So it turns out that the issue was the 240 Ohm resistor that is wired into the coil pack ground wire. Part number: 13901738183. Anyone who gets this "ignition secondary monitor" code in the future, be sure to check this resistor first.
