Need exhaust help!!!

I've been searching for hours and cant find what in looking for. I want a single exhaust from the headers down, but ive only seen dual exhaust. Im going to be running ebay headers And want to know is there something to connect both pipes at the end so i can run a straight pipe to muffler? This is my first swap and build so any info would help.

I think you mean a Y-pipe? Like this? Usually run a flexi straight after, its been done quite a few times.

How do you know which correct piping to buy in terms of bends? Just use stock exhaust as a lay out and replicate it as much a possible?

Is that a stock e36 system (apart from the rear, of course)? Can I see your downpipes? What did you do to them?

Thanks for that! How much pipe did you leave on the downpipe that hits the subframe, before you cut it? Then you slipped a bend over it? Nice moves.
