Have a MMW->TRM/Technica ECU flash?!! New release!
Bump! Finally got my swap car on the dyno for a few pulls and came up with very consistent results that the operator was pleased with. All numbers are at the rear wheel.
Stock 1997 OBD2 S52B32
M50 intake manifold
KAmotors intake
2.5" mandrel single exhaust with no cat and straight through res/muffler
200,000KM on motor
12lb single mass fly
That's because in order to take full benefit of S52 cams the low compression of M52 engine 10.2:1 has to be raised. With using M50B25 pistons in M52b28 engine will make the compression be at 11.5:1 same as S54 and that M52 will make 250hp at the wheel and 275 at the flywheel, this is confirmed on a dyno.
but seriously, Dave and all the guys at MMW are excellent. Dave installed my m52 five years ago and its still running great as my DD. His swap parts are also in my brothers s52 e30 and neither him or myself have had a single issue or complaint about Dave or MMW. I trust his products and work over anything else on the market hands down.

My Subaru ej22 with one single cam head and one twin cam head for TOHC (triple over head cam) had 11.5:1 compression; with a ej20 turbo ecu mapped for the na high compression it made more than the DOHC 2500cc at 10.5:1 compression like even more than a 2.0 turbo.
It was confirmed on the kay-aei China products "dyno" to make 250awhp; up from a stock 118awhp.
Man only 10hp for s52 cams. Thats weaker than what I would expect. Hardly worth it. .

Are you sure your cams are timed correctly? It's surprisingly common for them not to be, especially if you (or anybody else) has been inside it.
It is entirely possible, I'll pick a weekend and pop the valve cover off sometime soon considering how easy it is. It was apart for a vanos replacement when the engine was dropped in and I may have put them in a bit out of time. It does have plenty of pull at the top end and seems to idle fine when warm so I dismissed the possibility, but again this is my first shot at this. I did have the cam lock tool in place.
Guys I got my Markert DME installed a couple days back and it has helped with some previous swap issues. The car now starts and idles at around 1500rpm smooth when cold versus the old tune where it would bog down and stumble for a few minutes and was quite undriveable until it had a bit of heat in it. After 30-45 secinds the Markert tune drops to normal idle and you're free to drive. Hot starts were not a priblem before, and they are still ok now. Performance wise I won't comment until I get it dyno'd but it feels about the same. Maybe a bit more on top but I did have the car tuned for an OBD2 manifold while running an m50 intake before. Dave has corrected that and I now have the correct map installed.
Engine is 1997 S52B32 with usual OBD2 swap items deleted. Overall pleased with the service and would recommend others to hit them up.
I do feel that my motor is not AS powerful as it should be, but it was identical with both TRM and Markert tunes so I doubt there is an issue there. I've just never felt a stock S52 to compare, under 4k it's quite lacking vs what i was expecting it to be.
